Schedule Social Media Posts with DeepSeek Harness
Connect DeepSeek Harness to LotsSocial through its official MCP client. Prepare social content in the harness, save drafts and schedule posts while LotsSocial handles publishing.
Eligible new users get free credits, valid for 90 days. No card required.
Example workflow
“Using the connected LotsSocial tools, adapt this announcement for LinkedIn and X and save the versions as drafts.”
Drafts created through the runtime you configure with DeepSeek.
From DeepSeek Harness to scheduled social posts
01
Configure the Harness MCP client
Add a Streamable HTTP entry for LotsSocial using the official dsh-mcp-client package. This connection belongs to DeepSeek Harness, not consumer chat.
02
Supply the API key securely
Use the LOTSSOCIAL_API_KEY runtime environment variable for the authorization header. Restart the harness and confirm it discovers the LotsSocial tools.
03
Check a read before a write
List accounts or check the billing balance first. Then create a draft and review it before assigning a publication time.
What can DeepSeek do with LotsSocial?
With a compatible connection, your agent can save drafts, schedule posts with images or video, manage connected accounts and retrieve available analytics. LotsSocial handles the publishing schedule; your agent supplies the content and instructions.
Supported networks: LinkedIn, Instagram, X, Google Business, Facebook, YouTube, Reddit, Threads, TikTok, Pinterest, Bluesky, Mastodon. Platform-specific formats and media requirements still apply.
You need
- DeepSeek Harness with the dsh-mcp-client package in your profile
- A LotsSocial API key supplied through the LOTSSOCIAL_API_KEY environment variable
- A LotsSocial account, which is created when you first sign in. No card required.
Connect DeepSeek to LotsSocial
- 1
Register a remote MCP entry
Add this entry to your DeepSeek Harness profile using its documented dsh-mcp-client configuration. Use the HTTP configuration below.
- id: mcp-lotssocial name: '@deepseek-ai/dsh-mcp-client' config: serverName: lotssocial transport: streamable-http url: https://api.lots.social/mcp headers: Authorization: !!js '`Bearer ${process.env.LOTSSOCIAL_API_KEY}`' - 2
Supply the key and restart the harness
Store your API key securely in the runtime environment. After startup, tools appear under mcp__lotssocial__. Confirm discovery with a read-only account request before creating drafts.
What to ask next
- “List my connected social accounts”
- “Draft a launch post for LinkedIn and X; save both as drafts for me to review”
Once connected, when you ask to connect an account, your agent gives you a link to open in your browser. Approve access on the network’s own page; the link works for an hour.
If something goes wrong
- LotsSocial tools are not available
- Check that LotsSocial is enabled for this session and authentication has completed. Reload the connection or start a new session to refresh its tools.

MCP or REST API: use the connection your agent supports.
The remote MCP endpoint is shared. For scripts or an agent with HTTP tools, use the REST API and an API key.
