Schedule Social Media Posts with Paperclip
Paperclip coordinates the agents doing your work. Connect LotsSocial in the runtime of the agent responsible for social content so its tasks can produce saved drafts and schedules.
Eligible new users get free credits, valid for 90 days. No card required.
Example workflow
“Prepare this week’s launch posts from the approved changelog. Use LotsSocial to save LinkedIn and X drafts and report their IDs for review.”
A task deliverable with saved post IDs, rather than copy left in a report.
An assigned task ends with drafts in the calendar
01
Choose the agent that owns the task
Configure the publishing connection for the runtime executing that agent’s work. Bind the LotsSocial tool profile to the agent responsible for your social media.
02
Connect MCP or the REST API
Add the remote HTTP connection in Tools & Access, attach a company secret for authentication and refresh its tool catalog. Bind an allowed tool profile to your social agent.
03
Return reviewable evidence
Ask the agent to report draft IDs and the accounts selected. Approve the schedule as a separate task so the publishing handoff is explicit.
What can Paperclip do with LotsSocial?
With a compatible connection, your agent can save drafts, schedule posts with images or video, manage connected accounts and retrieve available analytics. LotsSocial handles the publishing schedule; your agent supplies the content and instructions.
Supported networks: LinkedIn, Instagram, X, Google Business, Facebook, YouTube, Reddit, Threads, TikTok, Pinterest, Bluesky, Mastodon. Platform-specific formats and media requirements still apply.
You need
- Paperclip with the managed MCP gateway and Tools & Access enabled
- Company administrator access to tools and agent profiles
- A LotsSocial API key
- A LotsSocial account, which is created when you first sign in. No card required.
Connect Paperclip to LotsSocial
- 1
Create the LotsSocial connection
In your company’s Tools & Access, create a LotsSocial application and a remote HTTP connection. Use the hosted MCP URL below.
https://api.lots.social/mcp - 2
Store the key as a secret
Create a key in the Lots API dashboard and save it as a Paperclip company secret. Attach a credential reference to the connection: header Authorization, prefix Bearer followed by a space. Keep the key out of plain connection configuration.
- 3
Check the connection and load its tools
Run the connection health check and refresh its tool catalog. Enable the connection, review the discovered tools and approve the actions you want your agent to perform.
- 4
Assign access to your social agent
Create a tool profile containing the LotsSocial tools you need and bind it to the responsible agent. Ask that agent to list accounts and save a draft before giving it the publication schedule.
What to ask next
- “List my connected social accounts”
- “Draft a launch post for LinkedIn and X; save both as drafts for me to review”
Once connected, when you ask to connect an account, your agent gives you a link to open in your browser. Approve access on the network’s own page; the link works for an hour.
If something goes wrong
- My agent cannot see LotsSocial tools
- Check the connection is enabled, its tool catalog is refreshed, the required tools are allowed in a profile and that profile is bound to your agent.
Official setup documentation: Paperclip: managed MCP gateway and access setup.
MCP or REST API: use the connection your agent supports.
The remote MCP endpoint is shared. For scripts or an agent with HTTP tools, use the REST API and an API key.
