Schedule Social Media Posts with OpenAI dots
Let your dot prepare and schedule social posts from its computer. LotsSocial connects your social accounts, saves drafts and publishes at the times you choose.
Eligible new users get free credits, valid for 90 days. No card required.
Example workflow
“Every Monday, turn our latest release notes into LinkedIn and X drafts in LotsSocial. Send me the draft list. Schedule only after I approve.”
A reviewable set of drafts, with scheduling handled after your approval.
A weekly brief your dot can work from
01
Give your dot the publishing API
Ask your dot to read LotsSocial’s API reference and use it from its cloud or connected computer. Configure the API key privately, then ask it to list your social accounts.
02
Put the recurring brief in your dot
Specify the source material, accounts and frequency in your dot’s instructions. Recurrence belongs to your dot; LotsSocial does not start a recurring writing task itself.
03
Separate drafting from scheduling
Ask for drafts first. After approval, your dot supplies a schedule and LotsSocial publishes at those times. You can inspect or change the queue in the web calendar.
What can OpenAI dots do with LotsSocial?
With a compatible connection, your agent can save drafts, schedule posts with images or video, manage connected accounts and retrieve available analytics. LotsSocial handles the publishing schedule; your agent supplies the content and instructions.
Supported networks: LinkedIn, Instagram, X, Google Business, Facebook, YouTube, Reddit, Threads, TikTok, Pinterest, Bluesky, Mastodon. Platform-specific formats and media requirements still apply.
You need
- A ChatGPT account with dots access

Connect OpenAI dots to LotsSocial
- 1
Create your LotsSocial API key
Sign in to the Lots API dashboard and create an API key. Your dot will use it to access your LotsSocial accounts.
https://api.lots.social/dashboard - 2
Give your dot the API instructions
Ask your dot to use the LotsSocial REST API from its computer. Share the prompt below, then provide the key privately in the task environment, rather than in the conversation.
Use https://lots.social/api.md to connect LotsSocial from your computer. Read the API reference, authenticate with my privately configured LOTSSOCIAL_API_KEY and list my connected social accounts. Never include the key in messages or logs. - 3
Give your dot the posting brief
Tell your dot which accounts, source material and schedule to use. For recurring work, put the brief in the dot’s instructions. Ask it to save drafts first, then schedule the ones you choose.
What to ask next
- “Every Monday, draft this week’s posts from our changelog and save them as drafts”
- “Each Friday, tell me which posts did best this week”
Once connected, when you ask to connect an account, your agent gives you a link to open in your browser. Approve access on the network’s own page; the link works for an hour.
If something goes wrong
- My dot cannot access the API key
- The dot’s cloud computer has its own environment. A key saved on your laptop is not automatically available there. Open the assigned computer or use a connected local computer, and configure the key privately for the task.

MCP or REST API: use the connection your agent supports.
The remote MCP endpoint is shared. For scripts or an agent with HTTP tools, use the REST API and an API key.
