Schedule Social Media Posts with Grok Bot via API
Grok Bot has a persistent computer for running tasks. LotsSocial provides a REST API it can use for drafts, schedules, media and results, without a LotsSocial CLI.
Eligible new users get free credits, valid for 90 days. No card required.
Example workflow
“Use the LotsSocial API documentation to list my social accounts. Prepare LinkedIn and X drafts from this announcement, then stop and show me the drafts.”
An API-based workflow with review before a schedule is assigned.
A Bot brief with a concrete publishing handoff
01
Provide the API reference
Give your Bot the LotsSocial API documentation so it can use the published endpoints and schemas from its computer.
02
Store its API key privately
Create a LotsSocial key and use the Bot’s secure credential request. Start with a read-only billing request before creating a draft.
03
Approve the publication schedule
Tell the Bot which drafts, accounts and times you approve. LotsSocial handles delivery after the API has assigned a schedule.
What can Grok Bot do with LotsSocial?
With a compatible connection, your agent can save drafts, schedule posts with images or video, manage connected accounts and retrieve available analytics. LotsSocial handles the publishing schedule; your agent supplies the content and instructions.
Supported networks: LinkedIn, Instagram, X, Google Business, Facebook, YouTube, Reddit, Threads, TikTok, Pinterest, Bluesky, Mastodon. Platform-specific formats and media requirements still apply.
You need
- Grok Bot access with computer and terminal tools
- A LotsSocial API key, supplied through secure credential storage
- A LotsSocial account, which is created when you first sign in. No card required.
Connect Grok Bot to LotsSocial
- 1
Give Grok Bot the API reference
Ask it to read the LotsSocial REST reference. It can use the API from its computer to save drafts, schedule posts and read results.
https://api.lots.social/docs - 2
Create and securely supply an API key
Create a key at api.lots.social/dashboard. Use the agent’s secure credential flow rather than putting a secret in your prompt.
- 3
Start with a read-only request
Ask Grok Bot to check your LotsSocial billing balance before creating drafts or scheduling posts.
curl https://api.lots.social/api/v1/lotssocial/billing -H "Authorization: Bearer $LOTSSOCIAL_API_KEY"
What to ask next
- “Read https://api.lots.social/docs and check my connected accounts”
- “Save this announcement as a draft for X and LinkedIn”
Once connected, when you ask to connect an account, your agent gives you a link to open in your browser. Approve access on the network’s own page; the link works for an hour.
If something goes wrong
- LotsSocial is not in Marketplace
- These instructions use the REST API from the agent’s computer. Create an API key and follow the API setup above. You do not need to find LotsSocial in Marketplace.
- The agent cannot authenticate
- Check API-key permissions and secure credential availability. Never paste the key into a public chat or committed file.

MCP or REST API: use the connection your agent supports.
The remote MCP endpoint is shared. For scripts or an agent with HTTP tools, use the REST API and an API key.
