Schedule Social Media Posts with Perplexity Computer
Add LotsSocial as a custom remote connector in Perplexity. Computer can use its research context to prepare drafts, schedule selected posts and retrieve their available results.
Eligible new users get free credits, valid for 90 days. No card required.
Example workflow
“Use this research summary to draft a LinkedIn post with the sources. Save it in LotsSocial for me to verify before scheduling.”
A sourced social draft ready for a final factual review.
Research, verify the claim, then prepare the post
01
Enable the remote connector
Add the LotsSocial URL in Perplexity’s custom remote connector settings and authenticate. Enable it for the Computer task.
02
Keep the source trail
Ask Computer to distinguish verified facts from its analysis. Only the approved content should become the social draft.
03
Schedule after fact-checking
Review the saved text and sources, then choose a publication time. Return to the connector when you want available post analytics.
What can Perplexity Computer do with LotsSocial?
With a compatible connection, your agent can save drafts, schedule posts with images or video, manage connected accounts and retrieve available analytics. LotsSocial handles the publishing schedule; your agent supplies the content and instructions.
Supported networks: LinkedIn, Instagram, X, Google Business, Facebook, YouTube, Reddit, Threads, TikTok, Pinterest, Bluesky, Mastodon. Platform-specific formats and media requirements still apply.
You need
- Perplexity with Computer and custom remote connectors enabled
- Workspace permission to add a connector
- A LotsSocial account, which is created when you first sign in. No card required.
Connect Perplexity Computer to LotsSocial
- 1
Add a remote connector
Open Account settings → Connectors → + Custom connector. Choose Remote, name it LotsSocial and enter this URL.
https://api.lots.social/mcp - 2
Authenticate
Use OAuth sign-in if offered. For a Bearer-token connection, create a LotsSocial API key at https://api.lots.social/dashboard and add it in the connector’s credential field.
Authorization: Bearer <your API key> - 3
Enable it in Computer
Enable LotsSocial under Connectors for your Computer workflow, then ask it to list your accounts.
What to ask next
- “List my connected social accounts”
- “Draft a launch post for LinkedIn and X; save both as drafts for me to review”
Once connected, when you ask to connect an account, your agent gives you a link to open in your browser. Approve access on the network’s own page; the link works for an hour.
If something goes wrong
- LotsSocial tools are not available
- Check that LotsSocial is enabled for this session and authentication has completed. Reload the connection or start a new session to refresh its tools.
Official setup documentation: Perplexity: custom remote connectors.
MCP or REST API: use the connection your agent supports.
The remote MCP endpoint is shared. For scripts or an agent with HTTP tools, use the REST API and an API key.
