A draft sequence based on the material you approve.
Research and writing with a publishing handoff
01
Add the native MCP connection
Use /mcp-config in Kimi Code or merge the remote LotsSocial server into mcp.json. No LotsSocial plugin or CLI is needed.
02
Sign in and check the tools
Use /mcp-config login lotssocial for browser authorization. Start a new session, check /mcp and ask for your connected accounts.
03
Save before scheduling
Let Kimi prepare a sequence from your approved source material. Use drafts for review, then choose the accounts and publication times.
What can Kimi K3 do with LotsSocial?
With a compatible connection, your agent can save drafts, schedule posts with images or video, manage connected accounts and retrieve available analytics. LotsSocial handles the publishing schedule; your agent supplies the content and instructions.
Supported networks: LinkedIn, Instagram, X, Google Business, Facebook, YouTube, Reddit, Threads, TikTok, Pinterest, Bluesky, Mastodon. Platform-specific formats and media requirements still apply.
You need
- Kimi Code CLI with access to Kimi K3
- This setup covers Kimi Code’s MCP client, not a native connector in the Kimi consumer chat
- A LotsSocial account, which is created when you first sign in. No card required.
Connect Kimi K3 to LotsSocial
- 1
Add LotsSocial in Kimi Code
Run /mcp-config to add a remote HTTP server, or merge this entry into ~/.kimi-code/mcp.json. Preserve any existing servers.
{ "mcpServers": { "lotssocial": { "url": "https://api.lots.social/mcp" } } } - 2
Sign in with OAuth
Complete authorization in the browser using Kimi Code’s own command.
/mcp-config login lotssocial - 3
Start a new session and verify tools
Newly added servers join new sessions. Check /mcp, then ask Kimi to list your accounts before creating a draft.
What to ask next
- “List my connected social accounts”
- “Draft a launch post for LinkedIn and X; save both as drafts for me to review”
Once connected, when you ask to connect an account, your agent gives you a link to open in your browser. Approve access on the network’s own page; the link works for an hour.
If something goes wrong
- LotsSocial tools are not available
- Check that LotsSocial is enabled for this session and authentication has completed. Reload the connection or start a new session to refresh its tools.
Official setup documentation: Kimi Code: MCP configuration and OAuth.
MCP or REST API: use the connection your agent supports.
The remote MCP endpoint is shared. For scripts or an agent with HTTP tools, use the REST API and an API key.
